Oh No, Not Two Of Them!:
The Prologue of the Pleasant Twins

Mary-Sue Pleasant's labor was as difficult  as any, especially because she was carrying twins.

The twins had yet to be named. She and her husband Daniel, were so anxious and stressed that they hadn't thought any up. Mary-Sue had been busy looking for a job now they were back in Pleasantview, trying not to let her pregnancy get in the way of her political ambitions, and Daniel had devoted most of his time to sports training. The Sim State Llamas were tough on him, so he hadn't prepared himself mentally for the births. He stood in the hospital room, walking around in circles.

When Doctor Derp successfully delivered the first baby, a smiling and laughing girl, the relief was so incredible that Mary-Sue temporarily forgot she had another on the way. The baby was so healthy looking, she was positively glowing.

And so, Mary-Sue and Daniel decided they would call their daughter Angela.

Mary-Sue leaned backwards and closed her eyes, but then Doctor Derp reminded her it wasn't over yet. She began the painful process all over again. However, the second baby didn't seem quite as eager to come out. Mary-Sue pushed and pushed, but nothing happened.

After 20 Sim-hours, the second baby girl emerged, crying and screaming so loud that everyone blocked their ears, including Doctor Derp. Unlike her sister, the second baby wasn't quite glowing - rather, she was white and shivering. Her eyes were shut and her head was turned, as if afraid of the bright lights of the hospital room.

After another 20 Sim-hours, Mary-Sue was in a good enough condition to get out of bed and properly meet her two daughters. Angela was smiling and reaching out her hands, so Daniel immediately picked her up, with a delighted look on his face.

The other, who they named Lilith, had her eyes shut, with a bitter expression, so Mary-Sue picked her up and let her lean on her shoulder.

Mary-Sue watched Angela interacting with the doctor, bouncing on her father's arms. She was the happiest looking newborn anyone, even Doctor Derp, had ever seen. Mary-Sue was so amazed, that she almost forgot about Lilith, quietly sleeping in her arms...

As time went by, Daniel and Mary-Sue continued to pay more attention to Angela, because Lilith always stayed out of the way - even during birthdays. They would share parties, but only Angela would be present, whilst Lilith would lounge around in the back, always trying to keep out of the photos.

Lilith never got along with the rest of her family. She was nothing at all like her twin sister, who was always playing outside in the sunlight, catching bugs and watching birds - all those things Lilith didn't like. Dad was too busy playing soccer, which she didn't like, either. All that Lilith had to confide in was her mother, but she was often too busy with her own job, campaign working for the opposition party. Even when she wasn't working, she and Dad were too busy arguing to pay any attention to her.

Daniel soon became the MVP of the Llamas, so he had little time to spend with Lilith, or the rest of his family. He wanted to do something to cheer her up, so he started buying her expensive things. After all, he had plenty of money.

But little did the Pleasants know that money could not buy happiness. That was a lesson that they were yet to learn. And fate has determined they would learn it the hard way, with  Lilith forever lying in the shadow, Angela escaping to the sun outside, and the parents, who seemed to have forgotten all about their daughters amidst their own arguments...

Through the passage of time, a once promising home life has taken a few turns for the worst. What will become of this divided family?

The Blight of the Brokes:
A Prologue to the Broke Family

Doug's Declassified History of Pleasantview
Brandi Newbie's childhood was a happy one, full of plenty of love and nurture. Her parents raised her to be very good with cooking and fashion and sports, so she would be absolutely perfect. Most of all, she wanted to be the mother of her own family.
Doug's Declassified History of Pleasantview
Eventually this all became true when she married the most handsome, wonderful man in all of Pleasantview. His name was Skip Broke.

Leaving her parents behind, Brandi now had Skip to take care of her.
Doug's Declassified History of Pleasantview
Doug's Declassified History of PleasantviewBrandi had met Skip through her parents, because the Brokes and the Newbies weren't natives of Pleasantview. They had come from an overpopulated town called Riverview, but they moved out to enjoy a more peaceful life. The two families had become close because of their roots. Together, they would make it in this new town.

But there was one hitch - Skip had no money, and his whole family was incredibly poor. He never bothered trying to make a lot of cash. His father had been a fat party animal who had had no money at all, and Skip was amazed that he had survived up to this point. Skip realized that you don't need money to get by in life. Having love is a much better thing, and Skip did have love with Brandi. So the two had a baby together, and they named him Dustin.

The family moved into the woodlands on the outskirts of Pleasantview to live in a trailer.

Dustin was a nice boy, who loved animals and nature. But  since they were so poor, Brandi and Skip decided that they should have as many kids as possible. So they had another boy, who they named Beau, meaning 'Beautiful', because he was so handsome looking.

Dustin was kind of jealous of Beau because he was much less handsome, but he still loved his whole family very much, including his baby brother, and his father, who taught him to walk and talk.

But the couple was determined to have even more children, especially since Brandi had given up her job as a  Drive-Thru clerk to spend more time raising her kids - they figured, that if they have heaps of children, it was more likely that one would grow up to become a rich superstar. So Brandi became pregnant once again.

Skip couldn't wait to see what his third child would look like, wondering if it would be as pretty as he is, or even prettier than the other two. However, something drastic happened that would prevent Skip from ever seeing him.

Doug's Declassified History of Pleasantview
The Brokes had worked up enough money to buy something they knew would make them all happy - a pool. In Pleasantview, where the weather was always warm and sunny, a pool would be a perfect addition for the whole family.

After purchasing it from the pool-store and having it installed in their backyard, Skip was the first to try it out. He went swimming in it secretly while the others were all out.

Doug's Declassified History of PleasantviewHowever, after a while of splashing about in the water, he noticed something that made his heart sink like the Titanic. There was no ladder in the pool! They weren't able to afford both a pool and a ladder - he had no way of getting out!

He screamed and screamed until his lungs tired out, but nobody else could hear him out in the woodlands. Skip's flailing muscles gave way and he sank to the bottom and died.

Doug's Declassified History of PleasantviewThe Sim Reaper was a very sensitive person. He was so saddened by the death of such a wonderful man, he didn't want to have Brandi find out for herself, but he also didn't want to have to tell her face to face. He decided to send her a text, and fish out Skip's body with his trusty fishing pole.

But little did the Reaper know, this would only lead to a tearing lack of closure in the lives of the Broke family....
Doug's Declassified History of Pleasantview

Doug's Declassified History of PleasantviewFrom that point on, Brandi was all by herself, without a job, with two young sons to take care of, and another on the way. She knew that things were going to get tough.

Poor, pregnant and solo, she was no longer Brandi Newbie. She was now Brandi Broke.
